Histoire résuméeThe Celstar, specifically designed to JAR 22 specifications for competitive aerobatics ( 10 g), first flew in 1989. It has full span mass balanced ailerons. Airbrakes are used for appoach control. The main wheel is retractable.
Il y aurait eu 6 exemplaires construits (?).
The first of six Celstar GA-1 aerobatic gliders has been exported to the USA. Celstar's South African
manufacturer, Celair Manufacturing and Export, says: "This a first in the history of South Africa where an
aircraft which is locally manufactured is exported". A second Celstar has since been exported to Switzerland.[Flight Archiv]
